Editing, revision and recovery of guitar heritage: interpretation also begins with the score.

Revised and fingered edition by Javier Llanes
Fantasía sobre la Obertura «Semiramide» de Rossini
Trinidad Huerta y Caturla
Trinidad Huerta y Caturla was a Spanish guitarist born in Orihuela in 1800 and of great prestige in Europe in the mid-19th century. The revised and fingered edition by Javier Llanes was born of the desire to rescue one of the richest and most interesting pieces of his output and bring it back to concert programmes.
The work was published in London after Huerta met Rossini in Paris in 1831. The revision seeks simplicity, naturalness and musicality, respecting the original text and attending to the performance practices contemporary with the composer.
The result offers a clear and intelligible reproduction of the score, designed to make its notation easier to read and perform without losing historical fidelity.
